Batter Up! Are You Playing in the Big Leagues?

Our minds are so powerful. Many of us think we have grand ideas until we surround ourselves with those who think bigger than we do. I do not see myself shrinking in awe but rather standing taller and leaning forward to listen and learn and play in the big leagues. I am planning to play way bigger than I currently am. Have you ever noticed that people see your greater potential often before you do? Why is that? Put your hand in front of your face....can't see much right. You are so close to it, it makes it difficult to see your full hand or beyond it.
You probably come up with awesome ideas all the time. Some ideas you may write down and some float off into thin air. There may even be some you execute. And yes, there are some ideas that get your juices flowing that you talk yourself out of. Why? The chatter in your head is telling that you can't and you mentally wrestle with a quiet voice, almost a whisper saying yes you can.
The "can't" voice might be saying:

• "It needs to be perfect."

• "Who would buy that?"

• Do you really think people will pay that much?

• "Who do you think you are?"

• "I can't make more money than.."

• "What will people say if..."

Challenge the stronger voice - the voice that says “No, you can't.” The voice that believes in you.

Play in the big leagues:

• Hit a homerun! Imagine yourself sliding into home plate and the crowd is cheering as you have achieved your ultimate goal.

• Quit looking for perfection - be innovative. You are unique in your style and who you are is what people want. If you wait too long, you might miss the opportunity.

• Look inside yourself for the wisdom that others are searching for and share it.

• Believe you deserve it and you are worth it. You are no accident.

• There is enough for everyone.

• Be open to learning from those who have been where you want to go. They want you to grow, and so do I!

• Share your dream with others so others may serve you and be open to receiving all the possibilities.

You can play in the big leagues too. When you shift your mindset from playing in the little leagues to the big leagues, you begin to challenge yourself to new levels. Every time you move up a level, you will meet more teachers to guide and challenge you to step up to your greatness at the plate. Batter UP!

For Your Eyes Only

It is interesting to me that a woman can be so confident one moment and then have her confidence plummet to the ground when someone puts her down or squashers her dreams. Why? Women are the heart of the world. We feel and give so much to others. What I realized more than anything is that these confident women have taken a step back allowed those individuals to define who they are. They hear "It cannot be done or it is not possible to do this if you only do it part-time." This is tragic and we need to embrace each other and remind each other that we can reach for our dreams. Another person cannot define your reality. One person in the whole world does not equal your truth. It may not occur as fast as you want depending on your circumstance but if your dream is meant to be; it shall be at the right time and place for you. You are more powerful than you know. Your kind word, smile, or action can change the world.

Stand tall. The gift and talents you possess cannot be shared by anyone else but you. Do not rob the world of your gifts and talents for the world is waiting. You are the missing piece of the puzzle. Sometimes you need to tunnel vision you dreams to block out the doubters and naysayers. These dream squashers have not pursued their dreams with the passion and tenacity you have. They are scared not that you will achieve your dream but they may lose you in the process. Be not afraid. They will lose you by not allowing you to chase your dream. Remind them that they can share in your dream with their love and support.

Be confident and brave. Summon the courage you have and take action toward your dream. The momentum you create leads to success. You only fail when you fail to take action. Your dream is for your eyes only but it must be shared with the people you know, like, and trust so you can get the support you need.

Define who you are not by a dictionary or by another person's perspective but through your own eyes. The definition of you is for your eyes only!

What Are You Waiting for?

Do you ever feel that you are waiting for something big to happen? Are you waiting for a big break that will skyrocket your career or business? Are you waiting for a knight in shining armor to come and sweep you off your feet? What would happen, instead of waiting around, you stepped into taking action and met your miracle or unexpected surprise?

You may have heard the joke about the man who kept praying to God to win the lottery. After several times, he heard the voice of God say, "Can you please buy a ticket?" You cannot win the lottery without a ticket. You cannot skyrocket in your career or business looking at a computer screen or daydreaming. You cannot meet the man of your dreams sitting on the couch at home and watching television. Perhaps you are waiting for someone to do something for you. If so, do they know you are waiting and for what? You could be waitng a long time.

This is why it is so important to take action and responsibility for the things we want in our lives. I believe miracles and wonderful things happen in our lives everyday if we stop and pay attention to them. I also believe your efforts are rewarded. There is a turning point which occurs in everyone's lives where they are pleasantly surprised at one time or another. Meet your dreams at the door.

BELIEVE

Believe. Believe, your dreams and goals to be real, tangible, and achieveable.

Envision. Envision achieving your dream or goal daily.

Live. Live your life looking for unexpected pleasant surprises.

Impact. Think about the impact achieving your dream or goal will have in your life and in the lives of others.

Empower. Empower yourself by listening to audiobooks, reading, or surrounding yourself with like-minded people.

Value. Value yourself and others. Give value to others and they will support you.

Energize. Get excited about your life and look forward to what awaits you.

Waiting lets your mind play tricks on you. You may start worrying about the "hows" or doubting in your abilities. What I do know is - everything happens at the right time. The right people will come into your life and the hows will be solved. We do not always understand the timing but it happens when God or the Universe believes it to be in alignment.  Step out and take action! Take an extra course, go out with your girlfriends, and buy your lottery ticket. You do not have to wait...the world is waiting for you!

You are Meant to Do Great Things!

"Are You Living Your Dream? Or Just Living Your Life?"
These are the words found the back cover of "The Dream Giver" by Bruce Wilkinson, a book I am in the midst of reading. The power behind those questions resonates in many of the people I encounter and work with everyday.

This inspirational story is about a boy named Ordinary who leaves the Land of Familiar to pursue his Big Dream. The message is powerful and compelling. A great read. We all have big dreams. What is yours? Are you living it right now? What has stopped you from pursuing your big dream?

You may have several reasons that you have not pursued your big dream. Take a moment to think about who you have in your life who would want you to have that dream? There are many people around you that want you to succeed and they will help support you in any way that they can. Let other people know what your big dream is. Remember your dream belongs to you and no one can take it away from you and only you were meant to fulfill it. Go after your BIG DREAM! It was made for you...because you were meant to do great things!

Do You Remember to Share?

From the time we were little, we were taught to share.Why do we not share our hopes and dreams with those closest to us? Are you afraid that they will laugh or talk you out of it? Focus on your vision. It belongs to you. If you believe you can achieve it, it does not matter what others say, you will do it. With the individuals I talk to, it could be further from the truth. When others are aware of your goals, they are better able to support and encourage you and you are better able to support and encourage them as well. They may recommend people that you need to connect with to reach your goals. Tell them what your needs are. Remember that each person knows at least 250 people and those 250 people know another 250 people. Share your dreams and widen your circle of influence.


Find an accountability partner or friend to remind you why you chose your goals in the first place and what the end result will look and feel like when times get weak. It is during those times that you need to look fear in the face and remind yourself you can achieve so many things if you believe in yourself, your talents, and your abilities.

Many people talk but few take action. What are you going to do?
